Welcome
to iCare
We seek to provide a wide ranging, caring and compassionate service to those undergoing hardship in the UK. iCare’s strategy is to build stronger, more responsible and caring communities through its charitable projects, ultimately contributing to a better Britain.
iCare was established by UKIM in 2016 with an aim to provide financial and practical assistance to those in difficulty and special need here in the United Kingdom. UKIM was founded in 1962 to cater for the needs of the growing Muslim community arriving in the UK and to convey the vision and message of Islam. Since then it has grown to have over 40 mosques across the country, 35 supplementary schools with around 5,000 students, a successfully running global relief department and now having established iCare, it will be supporting those in need regardless of colour, religion or background in the UK.

Our Projects
Neighbours in Need
Neighbours in Need is iCare’s flagship local Zakat & Sadaqa funds programme. Over the years there has been a growing need for local charitable distribution and in particular the local distribution of zakat.
Cold Survival Kits
Winter can be a particularly tough time for homeless people who are not only facing the bitterness of the cold that winter has to bring with it, but are also facing Christmas
Food Hubs
Food poverty has been on the increase in the UK since the financial crisis in 2008/2009. The cost of living has increased and food prices have also increased by up to 43.5% in the eight years up to July 2013.
Last year the brilliant UKIM madrasa students helped raise £20,000 for Children with Cancer UK. This year we are raising funds for iCare’s very own flagship Neighbours in Need UK relief fund. Children with Cancer UK were presented with a cheque at the Annual UKIM Convention in August 2016.
Neighbours in Need will be working hard to support those in need in the UK through the delivery of various projects. Those projects will:
- Support people struggling to provide food for themselves and their families
- Tackle homelessness and destitution in our communities across the country
- Welcome and work with refugees and asylum seekers coming into the UK including unaccompanied child refugees
- Any individuals and families struggling to make ends meet
